The Malta Gambling Authority (MGA) has been forced to suspend the license from Green Feather Online. This company is behind a number of popular brands including bcasino.com, boocasino.com, galacticwins.com and mrfortune.com.
The reason for the suspension is due to violations of multiple MGA gambling compliance and control rules, most notably regarding the provision of financial information.
Two violated articles.
The MGA highlighted that Green Feather Online violated Article 41 (1) of the Gambling Authorization and Compliance Directive. This article requires licensees to submit management accounts for the first half of the year by the end of the eighth month of the financial year.
In addition, the company violated paragraph 41 (2) (a) of the same directive, which establishes the obligation to file and verify financial statements with the regulatory authority within 180 days after the end of the fiscal year.
Consequences of suspension.
The consequences of the suspension of Green Feather Online’s license are serious: the company can no longer provide gaming services. However, it will be obliged to store customers’ data and refund their loans. At the same time, the company can appeal this decision.
This is not the first time that the MGA takes such measures. Previous suspensions have also affected other gambling players in Malta, emphasizing the seriousness of compliance and responsibility in the industry.
