Established in 2006 in the UK, Amelco specializes in technology solutions for iGaming operators. This includes sports betting, casino, lottery and financial products. Obtaining a license for the Ontario market underscores Amelco’s commitment to expanding its influence in the global iGaming industry. The company has already been successful in important markets such as the UK and New Jersey in the US.
The iGaming Ontario report for the first quarter of 2023 has also attracted attention. This report revealed that $14 billion worth of bets were placed between April and June 2023. Gaming revenue reached CAD 545 million, showing an increase of 3.6% from the previous quarter. However, the number of active player accounts decreased, but the average monthly spend per active player account increased. In the same month, Heidi Reinhart was appointed as the regulator’s chairperson, giving the industry an added dynamic.
